I met Maria at the Family Center and had the privilege of having her with us during two very special moments: as the photographer for my newborn’s photoshoot and as my doula. In both roles, she was absolutely amazing, providing invaluable support to me and my family. My postpartum period was particularly challenging. After a second C-section, I found myself caring for a newborn and a 1-year-and-8-month-old toddler. Having Maria as my doula during this time made all the difference. Despite the language barrier — as English is not my first language — and my older daughter initially being a bit shy, Maria handled everything with incredible sensitivity and professionalism.
