While I am honored and privileged to join you in your birth space as a birth/labor doula (you can read more about that offering HERE), I am passionate about supporting new families after the birth.

Many families find that they need additional help and support in the immediate post-partum period, which is where my post-partum doula services come in. My mission as a post-partum doula is to share learning, affirm balance, and enhance independence in your parenting.

Being a new parent in modern times is hard, even in the best of situations. We’ve lost our extended support networks. There are so many voices telling us what to do - and often saying completely contradictory things. You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, smitten. Your world has been rocked, your body and soul literally opened with this momentous and magical thing that has just happened, which is also stressful and challenging.

My postpartum interest also came about as an organic expansion of my newborn photography passion, where I often feel like I’m informally and casually debriefing the labor, checking in about feeding (based partly too on my own experiences and challenges with feeding my children) and other aspects of new parenting, and I wanted to formalize that role and my desire to work more extensively to support families.

My philosophy as a postpartum doula is that you are the best parent for your child and that my role is to provide support and validation for your parenting through the combination of informational resources (connecting you to other practitioners if you are experiencing specific challenges) and practical tools (light housekeeping, meal prep/delivery, errands, caretaking the baby while you nap/shower/breathe alone, pet/partner/sibling care, organizing visitors, etc). The 4th trimester is real - I am honored to be invited in to your vulnerabilities and to support you through these days.

My Postpartum Doula Packages are available in increments of 3 hours (typically a 1 hour visit x 3).
